Culturally, The Muppet Show was important because it popularized the variety-sketch format with humor and musical numbers, and introduced themes of teamwork, diversity, and acceptance.
Also one of my favorite quotes about The Muppets comes from comedian, actor and writer, Bret Goldstein. Brett Goldstein said in a recent Brené Brown podcast what the secret to The Muppets is...and I've attached that quote below.
