ART and The ARTISTS: Life Drawing and Beyond, Performing Artist as Models

We also are proud to host this community arts event each month. Meet your muse for the evening and amp up your creativity with a live model and the visual art medium of your choice monthly plus surprises. We've tried to have RUBY in February (she had a fender bender), March (Nipsy got food poisoning), so THIRD TIME is the charm right?
Welcome to ART and The ARTISTS: Life Drawing and More at The Bird and The Book ! Get ready for a unique experience designed for visual artists as well as the performing artists in our wide community of East Tennessee.
The Bird and The Book will serve up libations are you explore creation. Food and beverages will be available for the entire event for purchase and we highly encourage you to partake in the yummy goodness they have to offer!

Essentially, it's an evening of creativity and inspiration as we combine the worlds of art and performance, two aspects of art that should mingle often and get to know one another. Our talented performing artists from the area will model for you to draw and sketch , paint, sculpt or whatever your medium may be, capturing their unique costuming and expressions.

Get to know one another, get your creative juices flowing, meet your muse for the night and ignite the inspiration to forge ahead on whatever art project you set out to do. The visual artists will leave the night with some new pieces of art and the performing artist will leave knowing some amazingly talented visual artists. It's a mixer that leads to word-of-mouth, and a greater appreciation for the creativity that is in our own backyard.

A 9 Week Workshop Series for Burlesque Beginnings
Are you just Curious or an aspiring Future Performer? No matter why you are interested, this 9 week workshop series will welcome you into the world of burlesque. Often found to be very transformative and empowering for most, we explore everything from the origins to the act with all the stops in between. After this course you can become that "Secret Showgirl" you've always dreamed of or debut as a performer if you so desire. Most importantly you'll have fun every step of the way. 18+ only.
Saturdays 11 am - 1 pm, starting April 25th
$200 for entire series (all inclusive: materials are provided). PAYMENT PLANS are available!!!
